Super Lawyers doesn’t hand out recognition for clever advertising. They look at outcomes, peer reviews, and actual client results. Our firm earned this recognition by winning cases, not by making promises.
We’ve been named recently the best personal injury attorneys and these honors come from client reviews, case outcomes, and peer recognition. Our track record speaks louder than any advertisement ever could.
Here’s our promise: when you call, we answer. When you have questions, we explain things in plain English. When something important happens with your claim, you hear about it right away.
Clients give us five-star reviews over and over again for one simple reason: we treat you like a person, not a case number. You’ll never wonder what’s going on or feel left in the dark. Recovering from a crash is hard enough without worrying about whether your lawyer is actually working for you.
“Thompson Law was the BEST thing that could have happened.”
– Ronnie
Thompson Law operates from 4745 N 7th St, Suite 230, Phoenix, AZ 85014, putting us close to Maricopa County courthouses and the agencies that matter most when you’re building a case.
We know this area. We know which intersections cause problems. We know how local police write up crash reports. We know the games insurance companies play when accidents happen in certain parts of town.
That experience matters. It means we have relationships with the right accident experts, connections with local medical providers, and a reputation with judges and opposing lawyers.
When you hire us, you’re hiring a team that understands how Arizona cases really work. Call us anytime at (480) 660-0884.
Arizona law lets you recover money for:
In extreme cases (like drunk driving or intentional harm), courts can also award punitive damages to punish the wrongdoer.
What you actually get depends on your specific injuries, medical proof, and available insurance coverage.
Numbers don’t lie. Here’s what Thompson Law has recovered in major injury and death cases:
We’ve taken on complicated crashes across Arizona and the rest of the country. If it’s serious, we handle it.
What we’ve won for clients:
Maybe not. If you walked away with a scratch, your car got fixed quickly, and insurance paid without a fight, you probably don’t need us.
But most crashes aren’t that simple. If you went to the ER, if you’re still seeing doctors, if you missed work, if the other driver’s story doesn’t match yours, if a commercial truck was involved, or if insurance is pushing you to give a recorded statement, you need someone in your corner. A lawyer stops insurance companies from taking advantage of you, preserves video evidence before it disappears, and calculates what your case is actually worth.
Insurers count on you making mistakes: waiting too long to see a doctor, skipping follow-up appointments, giving recorded statements without thinking it through. We prevent those mistakes so they can’t be used against you later.
We build every case like a jury will decide it. That means investigating the crash scene, getting expert opinions, collecting medical records, and preparing for battle. Insurance companies know we’re not bluffing. That’s why they pay more when Thompson Law is on the other side.
We don’t hide behind legal jargon. We tell you what’s happening, what comes next, and what to expect. And you never pay a dime unless we get money for you.
Auto accidents come in all shapes and sizes. Here’s what brings people to our office:
Don’t guess about how serious your injuries are. See a doctor right away. Medical records protect both your health and your legal rights before insurance gets involved.
Call us and tell us what happened. We’ll look at what you’ve got (photos, reports, medical bills) and tell you where you stand. No charge. No pressure. Just honest answers about your situation and what comes next.
Most people can handle everything by phone, video chat, or online. We come to you if you’re stuck at home or in the hospital. Ninety-five percent of our clients sign up from their phones while sitting on the couch.
The second you hire us, we start digging. We get police reports, track down witnesses, photograph the scene, and grab video footage before it gets deleted (most cameras record over themselves after a week or two).
Arizona crash cases require specific paperwork from city police, the state highway patrol, or county sheriffs. We know exactly what to request and how fast to move.
What investigation looks like:
Insurance adjusters will try to contact you fast. They want you to say something they can use to deny or reduce your claim. Don’t talk to them. Let us handle every conversation.
Insurance companies use tricks: recorded statements that sound innocent, quick settlement offers that sound generous. Our attorneys know every play in their book. We control what gets said and when.
Never sign anything or agree to anything without talking to us first. Once you accept a settlement, it’s over, even if you find out later it wasn’t nearly enough.
You’ll get updates as things move forward, but we won’t drown you in paperwork or legal talk. If insurance won’t pay what’s fair, we file a lawsuit and head to court. Our trial lawyers have real courtroom experience, and we’re not afraid to use it.
Most cases settle once insurance sees we’re serious. But we’re always ready to take it all the way.
Interstate 10, Loop 101, Loop 202, and US-60 see the worst crashes. Heavy congestion, construction zones, and crazy merging patterns create perfect conditions for accidents. When crashes happen here, quick photos, witness statements, and video footage can be the difference between winning and losing.
Traffic jams, work zones, and complicated interchanges make fault harder to prove. Fast action on evidence gathering matters more than anything.
We request traffic camera footage, business security video, and dashcam recordings immediately. Most systems erase old footage within days.
We photograph lane markings, road signs, construction zones, and lighting conditions, especially near major highway exchanges where crashes happen most.
We explain how billing works with Banner Health, HonorHealth, Mayo Clinic, and other Valley hospitals so surprise charges don’t wreck your settlement.
Arizona gives you two years from the crash date to file a lawsuit. Miss that deadline and you lose your right to sue, period. Some situations have different rules (like claims against government entities), but two years is the standard.

Arizona uses “pure comparative negligence.” That means you can still get money even if you were partly at fault. If you were 30% responsible, you get 70% of your damages. Even if you were 70% at fault, you still get 30%. Arizona doesn’t cut you off completely like some states do.

Arizona requires drivers to carry:
Those minimums barely cover anything in a serious crash. That’s why we look for every possible insurance policy: umbrella policies, underinsured coverage on your own policy, anything we can find.

Arizona is a fault state, meaning whoever caused the crash should pay through their liability insurance. You can also use your own collision coverage if you have it, though you’ll pay your deductible first (you might get it back later if the other driver is found at fault). If the at-fault driver doesn’t have enough insurance, your underinsured coverage can help.
Depends entirely on your situation. Simple cases with minor injuries and clear fault can wrap up in weeks or months. Complicated cases with serious injuries, disputed liability, or stubborn insurance companies can take a year or more, especially if we have to file a lawsuit.
If damages exceed your insurance limits, yes—injured parties can sue you personally and go after your assets. Your house, savings, investments, everything. That’s why having adequate liability coverage (and umbrella insurance for extra protection) matters so much.
Sometimes. If the owner let someone else drive their car, the owner’s insurance usually covers it. If the owner knowingly let an incompetent, unlicensed, or drunk person drive their car, the owner can be held personally liable for “negligent entrustment.”
Never. First offers are designed to save insurance companies money, not to fairly compensate you. They rarely account for future medical needs, long-term complications, or the true cost of what you’re going through. Once you sign, that’s it—you can’t ask for more later even if your injuries get worse.
File a police report immediately and use your uninsured motorist (UM) coverage if you have it. Arizona requires all insurance policies to include UM coverage unless you specifically rejected it in writing. We can also investigate to try to find the driver.
Use your health insurance if you have it. Many doctors will also treat car accident patients on a “lien” basis, meaning they wait to get paid until your case settles. MedPay coverage on your auto policy can also help with immediate medical costs regardless of who caused the crash.
Probably not. Most cases settle before trial. But if insurance won’t offer fair compensation, we’ll absolutely take your case to court. Having lawyers who are ready and willing to go to trial is exactly what makes insurance companies take you seriously.
There’s no magic formula. It depends on injury severity, how much pain you’re in, how long recovery takes, whether you have permanent damage, how it affects your daily life and relationships, and whether you have visible scars or disabilities. Juries and insurance companies consider all of it.
Absolutely. If your current attorney isn’t communicating, doesn’t seem prepared, or you just don’t trust them, you have every right to switch. We’ll review your case and explain how to make the transition.
Signing the police report is fine—that’s just documenting the crash. But if you signed anything from the other driver or their insurance company (especially anything that says you’re not hurt or won’t make a claim), call us immediately. That could seriously damage your case.
No. You choose where to get your car fixed. Insurance companies steer you toward preferred shops because those shops work with them to keep costs down. Pick a shop you trust and don’t let adjusters bully you.
That’s normal, especially with whiplash, back injuries, and concussions. Adrenaline masks pain right after a crash, and some injuries take time to show up. See a doctor as soon as symptoms appear and make sure they know it started after your accident. You can still make a claim, but documenting the connection between the crash and your symptoms is critical.
Yes. Parking lot crashes are common in busy areas like Scottsdale Fashion Square, Tempe Marketplace, and Arizona Mills. Liability can be tricky in parking lots, but security camera footage (which disappears fast) often makes the difference.
Be very careful. Broad medical authorizations give insurance access to your entire medical history, basically stuff that has nothing to do with the crash. They’ll look for pre-existing conditions they can blame for your current injuries. Have us review anything before you sign, or better yet, let us handle all insurance communication.
