Jeff Shelton
Attorney
Jeff Shelton grew up in Lancaster, Texas and presently lives in Allen, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Environmental Studies. He then achieved the goal he set in 9th grade after reading Harper Lee’s classic To Kill and Mockingbird, by graduating from the Walter and Shelia Umphrey’s School of Law at Baylor University and becoming an attorney.
Jeff always wanted to be a trial lawyer and began his practice by defending individuals and corporations in personal injury cases. However, it did not take long until he shifted his practice to represent those injured by the negligence and recklessness of others. Over the past twenty plus years Jeff has tried more than 100 lawsuits to verdict in state and federal courts in Texas and Oklahoma. Jeff is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the United States District Courts in the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jeff has represented clients in personal injury cases involving car wrecks (there are no accidents), truck wrecks, commercial trucking wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, auto vs. pedestrian incidents, auto vs. bicycle wrecks, medical malpractice, dental malpractice, mass tort litigation, oilfield and offshore rig incidents, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death and traumatic brain injury cases.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys being with his wife and two sons, listening to music, stand-up comedy, cooking and long-distance running. He founded Run4Something, Inc. a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation that is raising money for every mile of each of the twelve marathons he is running in 2023.
