Amy Bryant Hefner

Amy Bryant Hefner received her Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin before earning her Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law. During law school, Amy distinguished herself as one of the top trial students in her class, being one of only 10 students to be selected for the prestigious National Order of Barristers. Her outstanding academic achievements were complemented by her practical experience as a student attorney in the Criminal Clinic, where she took on court-appointed cases from Dallas County Criminal judges.

Amy’s dedication to her legal education extended beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her active involvement in the SMU Student Bar Association, where she served as Secretary. Additionally, Amy was a founding member of the SMU Student Chapter of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Amy was admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas.

Amy is a seasoned attorney with a wealth of experience in civil litigation, having represented clients in both state and federal courts. She started her career defending doctors in medical malpractice cases and went on to represent clients in high-stakes commercial and employment disputes. However, her true passion lies in representing clients who have been severely injured and need someone to fight for their rights.

Amy has successfully represented clients in personal injury cases, including those involving car accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence. Her commitment to her clients’ well-being has earned her a reputation as a compassionate and dedicated advocate.

Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, and their two dogs. She is an avid tennis player and golfer so when isn’t in the office or the courtroom, you will find her on the court or on the course.
